My First Game

Greetings dear people I'm happy to announce my ever first published Unity game!

It is a WebGL game played in a browser with a winter-themed relaxing gift collecting type game :D

I hope you will enjoy it I have played it like a thousand times while developing it :D

As they say, your first game should be as simple as possible so that you can actually finish it. I got to say that is absolutely true.

But technically Winter Fall is my second game but I finished it first. It took me less than four weeks to get to the finish line.

For my first game, it took me about nine months and I'm still not done. I'm not far from finishing tho but still, it took me way longer to learn all the things I needed to learn in order to make what I did. I'm just focusing hard to finish my second game well that would be technically my first game.

The design of the Winter Fall was very simple.  I bought assets from the asset store Frozen GUI Pack and as I was inspecting them I was basically deciding to use some of the example materials in the package but I had to strip down some of the suggested ideas. With all the suggested ideas in the examples, the game would be way more complex and time to develop it would be well who knows how long.

I'm sure to an experienced developer that would be a piece of cake but that is how it is.

Simply drawing objects on paper I was able to imagine this simple gameplay with proper scene transitions. The key idea is if I can imagine it in its entirety the chances of actually making it are good. But if I have a question about a specific situation that can occur and I have no apparent solution in mind this small issue will actually break the gameplay and solving that issue at a later moment will slow downhole development and increase complexity because I was not able to predict that issue. Sticking with simple ideas and solutions are best for me and only that way I can actually finish the game :D
